Based on a recent article in the journal Science (July 2008), there has been a lot of talk about relocating endangered species to new territories.
I'm not sure which is worse, the belief that these scientists should be given leeway to play god, or that they are arrogant enough to think they can actually pull it off successfully.
We don't yet have enough knowledge or sufficiently sophisticated modeling tools to be able to redesign complex ecosystems.
